Bridal consultants will often tell the Bride, "When you find your Perfect Gown, buy it." But, what if you aren't done shopping around? What if you just started? As your consultant, my response is, "Why would you need or want to shop around if you already found your Perfect Gown?" If it is simply because you just started to look, then ponder this....If you purchase your bridal gown when you fall in love with it, then you can focus on all the other details of your wedding. And of course, you should only purchase your gown if you LOVE IT! We will never pressure you to invest in a gown unless you love it.

In today's modern times, bridal showers are increasingly hosted by family members, with the help of the bride's bridesmaids and close friends when available. Never should a bride host her own shower. Whomever the host is, they do not have to be responsible for picking up the entire tab or do all the work. The bridal shower should be a group effort and a time to celebrate the coming together of new families.

Wedding Gown Shopping Story : by Elizabeth Kelley Every girl needs two wedding gowns, right? Wrong! I never thought I would be one of those girls. However, you never know when the "perfect dress" is going to reveal itself to you. I had bought the most beautiful wedding dress in Indianapolis about two months after my engagement. AND I even followed the rules that you don't look at other dresses once you have yours. I happened to travel to Dublin, Ireland while I was studying abroad in London this fall. While my friend and I were taking in the sights upon a double-decker sight-seeing bus, we stopped at a red light just outside a bridal store. I couldn't believe it...It was MY dress! The PERFECT dress. We jumped off the bus and ran into the store just as they were closing in time to find out the designer's name (Sincerity Bridal). I spent the rest of my trip in London trying to figure out where I could try this dress on. I called over 30 bridal stores in both Europe & the US trying to find it with no luck. Finally, I received an email back from Janet, the owner of Brooklyn Bridal & Prom, saying she stocked the dress! My mom and I traveled up to Michigan from Indianapolis the following week to take a look. It was a perfect fit, and totally worth the 4 hour drive!
