Vintage is Always in Style

Trends come and go, but vintage is always in style. Are you planning your wedding wondering how you are going to add that "classic" element that pulls it all together and makes your day perfect? I have a few suggestions! Here are some ideas to help you achieve that vintage feel without following a trend.

1. CAN THIS!
Sure, mason jars are versatile, but don't leave much of an impression. Why not wow your guest with flowers in Depression era containers; goblets, ice cream bowls, or even old glass milk bottles. Antique stores will have a lot of what you need for a very reasonable price.

2. FLEA MARKETS = A HIDDEN GEM
Instead of renting silver flatware you can visit a local flea market and grab real vintage flatware for pennies! Tie the flatware up in a ribbon that fits your color scheme. (Bonus: when your wedding is done, you will have enough silverware for all the dinner parties you and your new hubby will be having!)

3. TEA ANYONE?
Try this, soaking paper in a shallow tub of diluted tea will give it an antique look. Its easy, cost effective and adds just a little something extra to anything from your invitations to thank you cards.

4. GRANDMA KNOWS BEST
Nothing says vintage like old family albums. Try incorporating photos or even old love letters from your family and your soon-to-Be's and display them for your guest to view and reminisce.

5. MAKE MINE A DOUBLE
Have your bartender make a signature cocktail for your reception. Nothing takes you back in time like a brown derby or a bee's knees.

There are
lots for different ideas out there to help you pull together your dream wedding. Try some of these ideas or try investigating some websites to make your big day the cat's meow!
